Tom Felton Recalls Nearly Killing Alan Rickman on Harry Potter SetTom Felton

Tom Felton, who played Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter films, recently recalled a time when he “nearly killed” his co-star Alan Rickman, who played Severus Snape.

Felton was on set for one of the movies when the director instructed him to walk closely behind Rickman. However, Felton accidentally stepped on Rickman’s cloak, which was attached to his neck. This caused Rickman to choke, and Felton feared that he had killed him.

“I nearly killed the poor man,” Felton said. “Then he turned around again and gave me a look that you never ever want to see.”

Luckily, Rickman was not seriously injured. However, Felton learned his lesson and never stepped on Rickman’s cloak again.

Felton shared this story in his book, Beyond the Wand, which was released in October 2022. The book has been a hit among Harry Potter fans, who have enjoyed learning more about the behind-the-scenes stories from the films.

In addition to this story, Beyond the Wand also includes interviews with other Harry Potter cast members, as well as Felton’s own thoughts and reflections on his time on the films.

If you’re a fan of Harry Potter, then you’ll definitely want to check out Beyond the Wand. It’s a fascinating read that will give you a new appreciation for the films.
